Do fish feel pain in their eyes?

Twenty-seven pain receptors were found in eye of fish.

The fish’s eye is similar to the human eye, with A and C fibres (fast and slow) in the trigeminal nerve ending in receptors in the outer layer of the eye, as sensitive as in the human eye.
